How this texture was made

The noise generator is the foundational procedural tool: it outputs smooth noise values evaluated on the tile. Implementations include Perlin noise (smooth gradient-based), simplex noise (faster and more isotropic), FBM (fractional Brownian motion, sum of multiple octaves), and white noise (pure random).

Multi-layered fractal noise with warm brown-to-gold tones. Ideal for terrain heightmaps, organic surfaces, and natural material textures.

Configuration choices

• contrast 1.2 — producing crisp, high-contrast output
• octaves 6 — high enough to produce rich fractal detail across multiple scales.

Effectively monochrome — every dominant pixel reads as orange, with no contrast across the sampled palette.

When this texture fits best

Works as an overlay layer, compositional grit, natural-surface ground, or as a base for additional texture stacking. Noise is the foundational building block — most other texture effects layer on top of it.
