Fabric Textures for Web Design
Browse 90 free seamless fabric textures optimized for Web Design. Every texture downloads as PNG at 1024px, 2048px, or 4096px — power-of-two sizes that Web Design handles efficiently with mipmapping and texture compression. All textures tile perfectly with no visible seams.
Fabric textures — denim, leather, woven cloth, carbon fiber, and scales — bring tactile realism to clothing, furniture, vehicle interiors, and any surface that should read as soft or woven. For web design, reference the PNG as a CSS background-image with background-repeat: repeat — the seamless edges guarantee a clean, continuous texture across any container size. All textures are procedurally generated and released under our royalty-free license — free for personal and commercial projects with no attribution required.

Workflow in Web Design
For web backgrounds, use CSS background-image with background-repeat: repeat to tile the texture across an element. For large hero sections, consider background-size: cover with a single high-resolution texture — repeating small textures can look dated on wide screens. Compress to WebP for 30 to 50 per cent smaller file sizes with no visible quality loss; the format is now supported in every modern browser. For retina displays, serve textures at 2x intrinsic size and scale down via CSS — this preserves crispness without forcing a 4K texture on every visitor.
Quality notes for fabric textures
Fabric textures need to be tight enough that the weave reads. Extreme zoom reveals the underlying thread grid and breaks the illusion of continuous cloth. Target a UV scale that shows individual weave elements but keeps them small relative to the overall surface — typically threads should read at about 1 to 3 millimetres at expected viewing distance. Pair fabric textures with appropriate sheen values: matte fabrics like cotton at roughness 0.8+, silk or satin at roughness 0.2 to 0.4.
Web Design × Fabric specifics
Fabric textures as CSS backgrounds read as warm and tactile — particularly effective on hospitality, lifestyle, or e-commerce sites for clothing and home goods. Apply the texture at 50 to 80 per cent opacity over a brand-colour base to integrate the texture with the site palette.
